Goal: To contibute to the reduction of HIV/AIDS prevalence and enhance the understanding of the impact on development.

MYWO has been involved in the HIV/AIDs awareness since 1990. MYWO works with women groups in creating awareness. MYWO has since integrated HIV/AIDs activities in her other Programs. In 1997 MYWO in collaboration with Pathfinder and other NGOs developed a curriculsum on Home Based Care (HBC) . This curriculum is used in training family care givers to People Living With Aids (PLWA).

1.Provide information on prevention

2.Increase utilization of VCT

3.Improve the social economic status of the communities

4.Training home based care givers

5.To improve on behaviour change

• MYWO has no funds to carry out the necessary activities. MYWO would also like to expand to other districts to provide the services closer to the people through Community Based Workers (CBWs).

• MYWO will appreciate any technical and finacial assistance.
